We’re already huge fans of the Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI, which is renowned for their unbranded high quality everyday essentials. To show the role MUJI plays as part of our everyday lives, we chose animated flatlay stop-motion videos created in-store with exclusively MUJI products. The birdseye view allowed our creative team to highlight a large number of products for dining and stationery, while keeping it fun and interesting for the audience. Hundreds of photographs need to be taken for a half a minute of video, and our team meticulously planned the stage, setting, lighting and products pre-production to ensure that shooting would go smoothly and quickly. In-depth print features were also used to provide readers of our magazine platform with more details such as the history of MUJI. To highlight the wealth of products a lifestyle feature was written to show how different items could be used to create a more inviting and usable living space.
